How Guardians Engage Youth
The work that Guardians do protects lands and waters across Turtle Island – but a key component of their work is also about building connections for youth with each other and the land. From weeding out invasive species, to conducting monarch surveys, teaching about fieldwork and forestry and much more, Guardians act as mentors for youth in their communities, which opens doors and introduces them to a new world and opportunities to care for the environment around them. Hear from Guardians and youth on what this connection and mentorship means, and how it’s already helping to shape a better future for all of us.
