All across the country our movement is building enthusiasm and strength.
We help safeguard Canada’s environment, respond to declines in wildlife populations and meet the challenges of climate change. Guardians also provide social, cultural and economic contributions that improve the lives of Indigenous Peoples, our families and our communities.
Investments in Guardians programs is an act of reconciliation.
Therefore, we call on the governments of Canada to:
Make major and ongoing investments in Indigenous Guardians programs all across the country.
Support Indigenous-led conservation initiatives, including Indigenous Protected or Conserved Areas, land use planning, and natural resource stewardship.
Help us build a National Guardians Network to support and advance our cause.
