Meet Indigenous Guardians from across Canada

Français

Meet the First Nations communities across Canada who are leading the way in conservation by creating guardian programs and serving as the eyes and ears on the ground. To date, more than 60 guardians programs have launched. These guardians help manage lands and waters across Canada, drawing on traditional knowledge and science to manage protected areas, monitor development projects and restore animals and plants.
